Journal of Applied Missiology, Volume 2, Number 1

POLICY STATEMENT

The Journal of Applied Missiology is published biannually by the Department of Missions of Abilene Christian University. Its purpose is to encourage research into the diverse facets of contemporary missions in cross-cultural and domestic settings.

This journal contains professional-quality material carefully researched and annotated by the anthropological referencing method. It includes editorials, exegeses of Bible passages relating to missions, book and video reviews, biographical sketches, human interest articles, interviews, missions concepts and trends, questions and answers, and practical tools for missions success.

Three groups of missions specialists participate in the production of Journal of Applied Missiology: an editorial board makes all decisions concerning content and production of the journal, with at least two members of the board approving all articles for publication. Staff writers, composed of capable researchers who have extensive experience on the field and/or in specialized areas related to missions, are expected to submit suggestions and articles on a regular basis for publication. Contributing writers submit research articles on an assigned schedule or on a voluntary basis.

Articles must be at least five pages in length and not more than ten pages in length, typed and double spaced. The name and address of the author must accompany each article submitted. This material will not be returned to the writer.

Articles published do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board. Some opposing views are published from time to time for the sake of balance in the publication.

The Journal of Applied Missiology is sent without charge to missionaries on the field (and to others closely connected with missions) who are part of the restoration movement. The subscription rate for all others will be $10.00 per year.
